5 tips to help you get a career in online marketing

There are countless tips to finding a job and marketing yourself online, this doesn’t necessarily mean you have to post advertisements or use marketing tactics like pay per clicks to get your business up and running. Although these methods work, they are great for big advertisers who can afford to run ads consistently using these methods. The business owner starting out may not have these assets available to start marketing their products.
These tips will help you get your marketing moving and your business off the ground and running.
(1) Use social networks to market your new website, join different forums and use links to support your new business. Join different social groups and communicate with different people in them. Offer samples of your product and use a personal approach. Add personal information on your bio as to what you like to do, sports or activities your interested in and join social blogs associated with these activities. 2 or the most important places to add your site are FaceBook and Twitter. Add yourself on these sites and use HTML links to post your website.
(2) Provide your contact information, keep it up to date and professional looking, put in your phone number as well as an 800 number you can be reached at. Keep it simple but to the point, if you have a fictitious business name use this as well in your heading.
(3) Set up a separate email account for your business, you may consider using an auto-responder to answer emails. The same applies to your phone number, have an answering service or machine that clearly explains you will call them back immediately and keep it simple and pleasant.
(4) Make sure your website is clean and professional looking. Consider having it built by a professional and avoid duplicate sites, be creative and make this your own.
(5) Highlight your talents in your bio, include your strengths and showcase any designs or products you have available. Keep your site inviting, warm and friendly and your business will flourish.
